Both teams put their best line up to advance further to quarter finals. The two teams clashed on 29 February on the frist leg with a draw. Both teams were eager to win the first leg but they had to deal with the draw.

Napoli tried their best to come back but the Catalans side performed much better with the offensive gameplay and scored total of three goals with Messi and Suarez adding two more goals on FCB account, assuring their victory to quarter finals. Napoli got a chance to come back with a penalty but they could not capitalize that advantage and remained suppressd by the strong Barca team and had to compromise with only one goal from Insigne.
